Lochside cottages are two stonebuilt farm outbuildings which offer high quality modern facilities in a truly picturesque and tranquil environment. The cottages have views of loch Voil, the Braes of Balquhidder and meadows of grazing sheep.
The main farmhouse dates back to the times of Bonnie Prince Charlie and there are records of an extension to the original building in 1750.
The northern part of the Dairy cottage is on maps made in 1730 and the building was used as a working milking shed up until 1974. The Stable cottage dates back to about 1850 and was originally used to house peat ponies and latterly working Clydesdale horses.
Both have modern fitted kitchens with electric cooker and microwave oven.
There is electric total control heating, television and radio/CD player.
Both cottages have access to guest WIFI which is connected to a superfast fibre to the home connection giving speeds up to 540 Mbps
There is a laundry room with washing machine and tumble drier and each cottage has an iron and ironing board.
A cot, high chair and baby bath are available by arrangement.
Ample parking is available. Garden furniture and barbecue facilities are provided.
It is with regret that we are unable to accommodate dogs, except guide dogs.
Horses can be kept in an adjacent field during summer months and livery can be arranged at a local farm during winter.
